February 2009
MAX
HAWK 1961 - 2009
Hawk
completed his life journey on this earth peacefully at home on the 10th
of February 2009 at 9.05pm, aged 47 years. Beloved son of Noreen and Eric
McLean and cherished brother to eX, Cathy, Drew and Greg. Treasured father
of Kaali Crystal and life-partner of Amanda, and adored leader of the
electric tipi tribe.
May his spirit fly free and his music flow forever within us all.
Hawk
was buried at Omshalom on the 19th of February 2009. Forever under a big
sky, in that land of the long, long sun...
EULOGY
Hawk couldn’t talk at the end and even before that his
articulate voice was stunted, stifled by what the tumor was doing to his
brain. It all came on so quickly none of us really expected or prepared
for it. Hawk didn’t leave any messages to pass on, but in his last
days I know he had things he wanted to say.
I had many mental conversations with him in those last days and I’d
like to share a couple of them with you.
To all his brothers forgive yourselves for not having been around he knows
and feels your love for him. You are the sentinels, tall and distant lonely
towers of power bound forever in brotherhood. Of all harms and hurts Hawk
asked that you forgive yourself and him. His last picture of you, brothers
he loved, were beautiful, stately, honorable men who will travel with
him always.
Hawk said forget pride it will not help you where you are going.
To his sisters giddy, beautiful, wonderful, laughing love. When no one
else would understand him, you did. When he was hurting you soothed him.
When he was high and mighty you made him look at himself. In you is strength
bottomless, infinite giving and loving power, always refilling from those
huge loving hearts. Indomitable, fearless strength, with the ability to
do anything and everything. Never doubt the knowledge that you are the
strongest creatures alive, that the world is beautiful because you are
in it, that nothing in the world can repress such amazing women.
To the sisters who saw him out always he will be there protecting you.
To me and Amanda, be happy, always make the most of life. We will see
each other again and there will be fun and laughter.
love
Kaali
